COOKIE POLICY NOTICE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROVISION OF RULING N.229 DATED 08/05/2014 OF THE AUTHORITY FOR THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

The Data Protection Authority has implemented the European Directive 2002/58/EC which requires website administrators to show visitors a banner that informs them of the cookie policy of the website they are consulting and making its acceptance subject to the continuation of browsing.  This informative notice is provided to visitors and users of the websites www.hesadns.com and www.hesacloud.com, owned by HESA S.p.A. (henceforth “HESA”) and not for any other websites that may be consulted by the user through internal links.

1. WHO IS THE CONTROLLER OF DATA PROCESSING?
The data controller is HESA S.p.A., with registered office in Via Triboniano 25, 20156 Milano, Tax Code and VAT no. 09193370153.

2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are text files that an Internet website, such as the Site, send to the terminals of users in order to allow the Site owner to store some of the data transmitted by the browser used during the browsing session.
Cookies are used in order to perform computer authentication, monitor sessions and store information specific to users who access the server and, normally, are present in the user's browser in a very high number.
By means of cookies the Site may, among other things, carry out an analysis of the habits of a specific user in order to adapt the services offered by the Site to suit the user's requirements, or to facilitate the user during browsing activities (for example, by saving the User's username and password so that it is not necessary to enter them each time the user accesses the Site).
This Cookie Policy governs also the use, as part of the Site, of similar technologies to cookies, such as pixel tags and web beacons, or the type of technology, often used in conjunction with cookies, recoverable within a website such as an email body, with the purpose of tracing the activities on websites or the opening of emails.

3.WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF COOKIES USED BY THE SITE AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE?

The Site uses the following types of cookies:

Browsing cookie Browsing allow the Site to operate properly and allow the user to:
  1. view, from first access, the Site contents in the user's own language. The browsing cookies are, in fact, capable of recognizing which country the user is connecting from, and ensure that, whenever the user visits the Site, they will be automatically directed to the version of the Site prepared for the user's country of origin;
  2. carry out login to the Site and, if necessary, manage individual purchases. Thanks to the browsing cookies, the Site recognizes, at each access, registered users as such.
The browsing cookies are necessary for proper operation of the Site.
Analytical cookies Are used to process statistical analysis regarding how users browse the Site. HESA's analytical cookies collect information in aggregate form and process the analysis results in an anonymous way for statistical purposes.
Analytical cookies are not required for proper operation of the Site.
Functional cookies Allow the Site to recognize the user based on a specific request (expressed, for example, by clicking on “Stay connected” or “Remember me”) every time the user visits the Site, in this way the user is not obliged to re-enter login information.
Functional cookies are not essential for proper operation of the Site, however, they improve its quality and, at the same time, the browsing experience.
Marketing cookies Are used by HESA (or by third party companies who are trusted by HESA) and allow:
  1. the users of the Site to display banner ads on other affiliate sites, showing them the latest products appraised on the Site;
  2. to show users, during browsing of the Site, products and/or services that may be of interest to them or which are similar to those appraised and/or previously purchased, based on the user's browsing history.
The marketing Cookies are not required for proper operation of the Site.

4. HOW DO I EXPRESS MY CONSENT TO THE USE OF COOKIES?
The Browsing cookies are technical cookies necessary for proper operation of the Site. The Analytical Cookies are not required for proper operation of the Site, however, seeing as they pursue solely statistical purposes and collect data in aggregate form,  processed in an anonymous way by HESA, they can be used without the prior consent of the user.
Given the above, users can, however, choose to disable Browser Cookies and Analytic Cookies by simply changing their browser settings, it is to be understood that, in this case, certain functions provided by the Site will not be available to the user.

With regard to Functional Cookies and Marketing Cookies, the user will be able to grant or withhold consent to their use by clicking on the appropriate boxes at the end of this Informative Notice.
The refusal to grant consent does not make it impossible for the user to browse the Site but will deny the user access to certain function.

5. EXERCISING THE RIGHTS OF THE  DATA SUBJECT
The Data Subject may at any time can exercise towards the Data Controller the rights provided for by art. 7 of the Act and by the articles 15 to 22 of the Ruling, as well as receive assistance on how to exercise their consent or refusal of the use of cookies, or how to delete cookies from their browser, by contacting HESA S.p.A., with registered office in Via Triboniano 25, 20156 Milano, Tax Code and VAT no. 09193370153 by e-mail: privacy@hesa.com.

6. UPDATING OF THIS POLICY
This Cookie Policy may be amended or simply updated, in whole or in part, also in consideration of changes in the laws or regulations governing the Protection of Personal Data. Changes and updates to this Privacy Policy will be made known to users as soon as they are adopted and will be binding as soon as they are published on the Site.
HESA therefore invites users to regularly access this page to check for the publication of the most recent and updated version. For this purpose, the document highlights the date of the last update.
